DRU-244A is a high speed multichannel phase-coherent SDR digitizer hardware platform with on board input level control and multi-channel SDR digital down conversion (DDC) capability. The DRU-244A was design for phase-coherent SDR applications with outstanding dynamic performance. The combination of high bandwidth and high dynamic range with excellent sensitivity. Enables demanding applications such as direct digital SDR RF/IF sampling. Excellent spectral purity in combination with gain control. DRU-244A is ideal for advanced phase-coherent SDR radio receiver implementation.

Introduction phase-coherent SDR hardware platform
The DRU-244A phase-coherent SDR hardware digitizer features four channels, 16 bits resolution, 80 MS/s capture rate with 320 MHz analog input bandwidth digitizer from Analog Devices. It has 256 MSamples on board memory buffer. The DRU-244A is optimized for spectral purity over a large bandwidth. It is ideal for broadband applications such as direct digital SDR receiver IF/RF sampling and high-speed data acquisition. The DRU-244A offers an easy-to-use API. It allows easy integration into any application. The card connects to the host computer via an industry standard 32bit/66MHz PCI interface. The DRU-244A is equipped with Xilinx Spartan 3 series FPGA that enables customized real time applications.
Phase-coherent SDR hardware digitizer highlights
DRU-244A is a multifunctional multi-channel analog input phase-coherent SDR hardware digitizer card with 4 independent but phase-coherent SDR analog input channels. The output data stream of ADCs routed to the FPGA and could be processed by the on board digital down converters (DDCs). Their 16 digital channels could be tuned anywhere into the frequency pass band and down convert the signal to a base band domain. The outputs of 16 multi-channel SDR of the down converters are fed back into the FPGA. From the FPGA it is possible to forward the data through the PCI bus. The down converters could be programmed through PCI with an application programming interface (API). This multifunctional digitizer board combines high-speed phase-coherent SDR analog to digital conversion with digital processing suitable for multi-channel SR wide-band, narrow-band, phase-array, MIMO direct digital SDR down conversion and filtering. The unique functionality of the board lies in the high-speed configurable multi-channel SDR cross-connect switch between the the analog to digital conversion and the on-boar multi-channel SDR digital down converters.

The board could be ordered in four versions, depending on how many ADC and DDC chips are soldered providing different phase-coherent SDR direct sampling capabilities of the board.
SDR hardware digitizer software development kit
The DRU-244A phase-coherent SDR digitizer is easily integrated into your own application by using the software development kit (SDK). The DRU SDK could be downloaded from the QUADRUS SDR support web pade. The SDK includes the necessary driver (MS Windows) components and application programming interface compiled in a shared library. (*.DLL) The definition of the exported functions is provided as a header (*.h) file and the library file (*.LIB) is also provided for code development.
Phase-coherent SDR test application software
The DRU-244A is supplied with the Test Application software tool that provides quick and easy control of the phase-coherent SDR digitizer. The tool also offers both time domain and frequency domain analysis. Data can be saved in a native binary file format for offline analysis. The evaluation of recorded signal is easily done by importing data from file and analyze it in Matlab/LabVIEW or other processing software too.
